APPOINTMENT INFORMATION & DELIVERY MODES

Sessions typically run for 50 minutes and can be delivered either in person or online.

From 17 January 2025, Kate will relocate to Silverton Place, Suite 70, Level 6, 101 Wickham Terrace Spring Hill.  Please do not attend an in-person appointment if you (or anyone close to you) are experiencing cold & flu symptoms and/or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test.

Telehealth appointments are available using a secure video communication platform built specifically for the health industry called COVIU.

SESSION, ADDITIONAL SERVICES & CANCELLATION FEES

SESSION FEES

From 1 July 2025, the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fee for a 45 - 60 minute session is currently $318.

​

Fees listed below are for sessions delivered either in person or via telehealth until 31 December 2025:

  • Medicare: $250
    ($104.75 out of pocket*)

     

  • Private: $250
    (Health insurance rebates may apply)

     

  • After-hours appointments (7am & from 4:30pm onwards) attract a $30 surcharge.

*Please be aware that the full session fee is payable on the day. The Medicare rebate is processed separately & paid into the bank account provided to Medicare.​

ADDITIONAL SERVICES FEES

  • There is no additional cost for brief (< 15 mins) supporting documentation (e.g. an attendance letter) 
     

  • Documentation requiring longer than 15 minutes to complete (e.g. supporting letter for university application) may attract a fee commensurate with time taken ($62.50 per 15 minutes). 

Kate will let you know if a fee applies and an estimated cost at the time the request for an additional service is made.

CANCELLATION FEES

If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please provide at least 48 hours notice.

If you cancel or fail to attend your appointment, fees will apply unless there are extenuating circumstances.​

​​

  • > 48 hours notice: $0
     

  • 24 - 48 hours notice: 50% of fee applicable
     

  • < 24 hours notice: 100% of the fee applicable.

​

Cancellation fees are inclusive of GST. If your appointment is successfully filled, no fee is payable (irrespective of notice provided).

MEDICARE REBATES & PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

MEDICARE REBATES


$145.25

The above rebate is based on a 50 minute session with a Clinical Psychologist (Item Numbers: 80010 / 91167) from 1 July 2025.  Medicare rebates are typically reviewed every year on 1 July.  â€‹

 

Medicare rebates are available with an eligible Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referral from a GP or Psychiatrist.

​

Eligibility for a MHCP is determined by your treating physician, with up to 10 rebates typically available per calendar year. 

​

Medicare rebates have been approved for telehealth sessions until 31 December 2025.

​

Session fees are typically adjusted in line with changes to Medicare rebates.

Psychological conditions covered by Medicare include:​

  • Alcohol use disorder;

  • Adjustment disorder;

  • Attention deficit disorder;

  • Bereavement disorder;

  • Bipolar disorder;

  • Chronic fatigue;

  • Conduct disorder;

  • Co-occurring anxiety and depression;

  • Depression;

  • Dissociative disorder;

  • Drug use disorder;

  • Eating disorders;

  • Enuresis;

  • Generalised anxiety disorder;

  • Mental disorder, not otherwise specified;

  • Obsessive compulsive disorder;

  • Panic disorder;

  • Phobic disorder;

  • Post-traumatic stress disorder;

  • Psychotic disorders;

  • Schizophrenia;

  • Sexual disorders;

  • Sleep problems; and 

  • Unexplained somatic complaints.

HEALTH INSURANCE REBATES

If you have private health insurance you may be eligible to receive a rebate.  The specific amount depends on your insurer, level of extras cover, if you need to serve any waiting periods & mode of treatment delivery (i.e. in person / telehealth).

Contact your insurer directly to find out more about your eligibility and what rebates are available to you.  Relevant item codes are listed below to aid in your enquiry with your provider.

  • 100: Initial consultation with a Clinical Psychologist
     

  • 200: Follow up consultation with a Clinical Psychologist
     

  • 701: Initial Telehealth consultation with a Clinical Psychologist
